Its Memorial Day. The day to remember those whose lives were spent in the Service and those who had heard the call to become not just people who want to fight and defend and help our country as well as those in others. But people who wanted to better themselves. People who wanted to be Soldiers.
This time last year I came so close… simply a mistake away. But it didn’t happen for whatever reason. Yet while I may still be here in Orlando and my “home” I wake up today and raise my mental flag, do a mental salute to all soldiers of yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
Thank you for sacrificing your time and your lives for us.

That Odd Moment
Where you sit back and look at everything you have done with your life in the past year, all the friends you’ve made, all the ones you’ve kept…
and all the people who keep coming back into your life as if they had never left.
I’ve moved into a new apartment with my roomie and again feel like I have a bit of a new start.
Yeah some of my old ways have carried over but…
there are so many new things in place and so much left to experience.
I’ve had one dream come true- finding an organization that gives me what I am looking for…
A sisterhood filled with women of passion and drive… people who want to make a difference, who have a similar desire and vision I do…
Now… I am looking at this past year and thinking of how much more I want to grow. Ambitious… always looking to be in a position where I can be challenged.
Grow.
Ah… this life of mine. Always a rollercoaster.
